07-02-2024 - 11:31

The European Semester as the European Union’s framework for coordination and surveillance of economic and social policies is one of the most important tools in the governance system which directly influences the implementation of the EU's fiscal rules and other policies. Until 2022, the European Parliament's involvement in the Semester (via the EMPL and ECON Committees) consisted of two sets of annual Own-Initiative Reports.
