The EMPL Committee held a hearing on 28 January 2026 on working conditions in Amazon warehouses. The hearing follows the revocation of Amazon’s lobbying passes in early 2024, an exchange of views in January 2024, and a hearing in June 2025, from which Amazon was absent due to insufficient senior representation.

The hearing aimed to assess improvements in working conditions and Amazon's engagement with the Committee. Amazon was represented by Senior Vice President and Chief Global Affairs & Legal Officer, David Zapolsky, online from Seattle, and by Vice Presidents Stefano Perego (International Operations and Global Operations Service) and Lucy Cronin (EU Public Policy) in person. National and EU-level trade union representatives also took part in the discussion.
