In the framework of the European Parliamentary Week, two Interparliamentary Committee Meetings organised by the EMPL Committee will take place on 23–24 February 2026 at the European Parliament.

The EMPL Committee held a hearing on 28 January 2026 on working conditions in Amazon warehouses. The hearing follows the revocation of Amazon’s lobbying passes in early 2024, an exchange of views in January 2024, and a hearing in June 2025, from which Amazon was absent due to insufficient senior representation.

The EMPL Committee held an exchange of views with the Cyprus Presidency. Ministers Marinos Moushouttas (Minister of Labour and Social Insurance), Konstantinos Ioannou (Minister of Interior), and Clea Papaellina (Deputy Minister of Social Welfare) presented the Presidency’s priorities and programme in the fields of employment, social policy and housing.
