On 2 October, ENVI Committee, in association with AFET, DEVE and ITRE Committees, will hold the hearing of Mr. Wopke Hoekstra, Commissioner designate for Climate Action, as part of the process to replace Executive Vice- President Frans Timmermans, following his resignation from the European Commission on 22 August.

The nominees for this year’s Prize were presented by the political groups in a joint meeting of the Committees on Foreign Affairs (AFET) and on Development (DEVE) and the Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI) in Brussels on 20 September.

On 20 September, a workshop on "Developing countries’ energy needs and priorities under a sustainable development perspective - The specific case of Africa and green hydrogen" took place during the meeting of the Committee on Development.

The study "The implementation of EFSD+ operations from an inclusive perspective" was presented on 30 August by one of its authors: Aitor PÉREZ, Chief Consultant and Lecturer, Economistas de la Cooperación, S.L. (ECOPER) and University of Salamanca (Spain).
