Next CULT Committee meeting: 2-3 December 2024
The CULT Committee meeting of 6-7 November has been cancelled. The next CULT Committee meeting will take place on 2-3 December 2024.

On Thursday 3 October, the CULT Committee meeting will hear a presentation of the House of European History by Mr Ciril Stokeli , the Director for the Directorate for Visitors, and Mrs Contanze Itzel, the Director of the House.
On Thursday 3 October, the CULT Committee will present the recently published study "EU education, youth and sport policy – overview and future perspectives". This study provides a comprehensive overview of the situation to date in the areas of EU education and training (E&T), youth and sport policy, and delivers forward-looking insights for the CULT Committee.
The CULT Committee had an exchange of views with Ms Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, Director-General for Education and Culture, and with Mr Roberto Viola, Director-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology on 4 September. The discussion was focused on several matters of interest to the CULT Committee.
During the next Committee meeting on 4 September, CULT Members voted on the budgetary amendments to the Budget 2025. The amendments focus on placing the programmes under the Committees remit on a stronger footing and propose a number of preparatory actions to test potential actions.
On Wednesday, 4 September the CULT Committee presented the recently published study “EU culture and creative sectors policy - overview and future perspectives”. The research has been commissioned by the Policy Department in order to provide a comprehensive overview and understanding on main current and future issues to be expected in the area of EU culture and creative sectors policy in the term 2024-2029 of the EP.
