In its first meeting after the Parliament's summer recess, taking place on 31 August and 1 September, the INTA Committee will hold a debate to take stock of the first five years of implementation of the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). The agreement has been provisionally applied since 21 September 2017, as some EU national and regional parliaments have yet to ratify it.

Between 18 and 20 July, a delegation of the International Trade Committee will visit Bangladesh to discuss the country's status as a beneficiary of the EU’s Everything but Arms trade preference scheme through which all Bangladeshi exports (except arms and ammunition) can enter the EU duty- and quota-free

In its final meeting before the summer recess, the INTA Committee will hear from Jozef Síkela, Czech Minister of Trade, about the priorities of the Czech Presidency of the Council in the area of International Trade Policy for the second half of 2022. INTA Members will also discuss a number of priority files that will shape the Committee's agenda in the next few months.
