Voting session and exchanges on topical issues

On 30-31 January, the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development discussed the priorities of the Swedish Presidency in the field of agriculture and the CAP national Strategic Plans.
Members also exchanged on the barriers to EU-UK agri-food trade, and the legislation on farmed animal welfare. They considered the draft opinions on nature restauration, and on guidelines for the 2024 budget. They also considered the amendments to the draft report on geographical indications and the draft report on food security. The Committee also adopted a motion for a resolution on fertilisers, an opinion on outermost regions and an opinion on Treaties amendments.
