On Monday 2 October, from 20:00 to 22:00, Members from the Committee on Budgets and the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs will hold the 12th Recovery and Resilience Dialogue with Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice-President responsible for an Economy that Works for People, also in charge of Trade, and Paolo Gentiloni, Commissioner for Economy.

On Monday 25 September 2023, from 15:00 to 17:00, ECON Members held their third Monetary Dialogue of the year with the ECB President.

A public hearing on "New Economic Governance Rules fit for the Future" took place in the ECON Committee on Wednesday 20 September, from 16:30 to 18:30.

The term of the current Chair of the Supervisory Board, Mr Andrea Enria, will end in December 2023. The ECB has proposed Ms Claudia Buch to be appointed as the new Chair of the Supervisory Board.

On Wednesday, 20 September, from 14.30 to 15.30, ECON Members held an Economic Dialogue and exchange of views with Nadia Calviño, First Vice-President of the Government of Spain and Minister for the Economy and Digital Transformation, in her capacity of President of the ECOFIN Council during the Spanish Presidency (July to December 2023).

On Monday 4 September 2023, 15:00 - 16:00, an Exchange of Views in ECON was scheduled with the Chair of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), Andreas Barckow, the Chair of the IFRS Foundation, Erkki Liikanen and the Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), Emmanuel Faber.

On 4 September, from 16:00 to 17:00, Mr Fabio Panetta, member of the ECB Executive Board and Chair of the Task Force on Central Bank Digital Currency, informed ECON Members about the progress made regarding the digital euro project.
