At their 2-3 December meeting, INTA Members will vote on whether Parliament should give its consent to the Council decision on the conclusion, on behalf of the Union, of the UN Convention on transparency in treaty-based investor-State arbitration – also known as "Mauritius Convention on Transparency".

On Tuesday, 3 December 2024, between 14:30 and 16:30, INTA will organise a public hearing on “The Draghi report: competitiveness and economic security from a trade angle”. Speakers from the academia and representing workers and industry organisations will weigh in on how EU trade policy should contribute to the objectives set out in the Draghi report.

At their 18 November meeting, INTA Members will exchange with Denis Redonnet, Chief Trade Enforcement Officer, on the Fourth Annual Report on the screening of Foreign Direct Investments into the Union.

A delegation of six Members of the Committee on International Trade (INTA), accompanied by the Chair of the Delegation to the EU-UK Parliamentary Partnership Assembly, will travel to London (UK) from 28 to 30 October 2024. The delegation, led by the INTA Chair, Bernd Lange (S&D, DE), will exchange with the UK government, parliamentarians and stakeholders on the trade aspects of the EU-UK Withdrawal Agreement, including the Windsor Framework, and the Trade and Cooperation Agreement.
