On 19 September, the Committee held an exchange of views with Ms Nadia Calviño Santamaría, First Vice-President and Minister for the Economy and Digital Transformation, Ms Diana Morant Ripoll, Minister for Science and Innovation, and Mr Héctor Gómez Hernández, Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, to discuss the priorities of the Spanish Presidency in the areas of ICT and telecommunications, research, innovation, space and industry.

On 18 September, the Committee had a remote meeting with the Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services of the Verkhovna Rada to discuss issues of joint interest, such as security of energy supply, integration of energy markets, recent developments in Ukraine in connection with the war, and the challenges of the Ukraine’s energy policy concerning adaptation of its legislation to the European acquis.

On 7 September, the Committee held an exchange of views with Ms Ditte Juul Jørgensen, Director-General of DG ENER at the European Commission, on the EU's energy outlook and priorities, where stock was taken of the EU's winter preparedness plans, energy prices trends, as well as matters relating to the Energy Union Governance and the state of play of the Fit for 55 package.
