A delegation of seven Members of the Committee on International Trade (INTA) and the Chair of the Delegation for relations with South Africa will travel to Pretoria, Johannesburg and Cape Town between 3 and 7 April 2023.

On 16 March 2023, a delegation of Members from the Committee of Foreign Affairs (AFET) and on Development (DEVE) will visit the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg. Members will hold discussions on EIB external action, especially activities of the ‘EIB Global’ branch which was set up in January 2022. This new branch promotes investments outside the EU, supporting EU partnerships around the world, in particular in climate change, innovation and development.

The Committee on Budgets will travel to Chişinău, Moldova from 21 to 23 February 2023. The main objective of this mission is to assess Moldova's most pressing needs in terms of EU financial support, also in view of the country's candidate status.

The six-member delegation led by INTA committee chair Bernd Lange (S&D, DE) will travel to Chisinau. The aim of the delegation is to meet with Ministers, parliamentarians as well as civil society and private sector representatives.

A delegation of five members from the Committee on Development, chaired by Tomas Tobé, traveled to Washington DC from 21 to 23 February 2023.

Members from the Special Committee on Foreign Interference travelled to Kyiv on 20-21 February to discuss with their Ukrainian counterparts strategies and practices to counter Russian interference. The mission enabled Members to get a better understanding on how the EU institutions could be better equipped to provide the necessary assistance to Ukraine in fighting Russian information manipulation and interference.

A delegation of AFET Members will travel to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia and the seat of the ASEAN Secretariat, and to Hanoi in Vietnam from 20 to 24 February. The main goal of the mission is to contribute to furthering the EU-ASEAN Strategic Partnership, in particular cooperation between the parliaments, and to enhancing bilateral relations with EU’s major partners in the region.

A delegation of AFET Members traveled to Saudi Arabia from 19 to 20 December 2022. The main purpose of the mission of the visit was to assess the EU-Saudi Arabia and EU-GCC relations in the context of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and the dramatic geopolitical changes that have ensued.

A delegation of 7 Members of the Committee on International Trade (INTA) travelled to Taipei from 19 to 21 December. The aim of the mission was to discuss about trade and investment relations. The Delegation had meetings with representatives of the Government, the Legislative Yuan, civil society and private sector representatives.

On November 29th, a delegation of Members of the European Parliament visited the largest seaport in Europe: the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Members saw first-hand an important energy port for green hydrogen and discussed with Customs concrete implications of the Forced Labour Product Ban that the Parliament is currently working on.

Members of the FISC Subcommittee will travel to Bern (Switzerland) from 3 to 4 November 2022. The delegation, led by the Chair, Mr Paul Tang, will meet with representatives of key institutions, such as the Federal Department of Finance, the Federal Tax Administration, Members of the Economic Affairs and Taxation Committees of the National Council as well as stakeholders from the private sector, experts and civil society.

A delegation of members of the Committee on Petitions conducted a Fact-Finding-Visit to Germany from 3 to 4 November, 2022. Many petitions submitted to the Committee concern cross-border family matters and the mission enabled Members to gain a better understanding of the German judicial system and the role of the “Jugendamt” (Youth Welfare Office) on these issues.
