On Monday 25 January, 13:45 – 14:45, ECON Members will hold their first Economic Dialogue and exchange of views with Paschal Donohoe, President of the Eurogroup since his election in July 2020. The last dialogue with previous Eurogroup President Mário Centeno took place on 21 April 2020 in the ECON Committee.
Mairead McGuinness will appear before ECON on Monday, 25 January, 16:45 – 17:45, in her first structured dialogue since her appointment as Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union in October 2020.

The spread of the COVID-19 virus represents a dramatic risk for the health and lives of our citizens but will also lead to unprecedented shocks for the economy and employment in Europe. On Monday, 11 January 2021, 16:45 – 18:00 hrs, an exchange of views will take place in ECON with representatives of the European Commission's Task Force for Relations with the United Kingdom (UKTF), following the Agreement of 24th December 2020.
On the 11th of January, Members of the Committee on Budgets (BUDG) and the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) will vote on the provisional agreements resulting from interinstitutional negotiations on key programmes of the EU long term budget: the Recovery and Resilience Facility, the InvestEU Programme, and the Technical Support Instrument.
