2022 Budget: exchange with the EU agencies in the context of the pandemic

On Wednesday 14 July, Members of the Committee on Budgets held an exchange of views with the EU Agencies Network Chair, Ms Hans Bruyninckx, to look at the agencies' priorities and outlook following publication of the draft budget for 2022.
Mr Bruyninckx was joined by the Directors of the European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr Andrea Ammon, and the European Medicines Agency, Ms Emer Cooke, to discuss the enhanced role that the agencies have played in the pandemic response and their budgetary needs going forward. The meeting came as the Committee on Budgets formulates its position on the 2022 Draft Budget.
