The TRAN Committee held a debate with European Coordinators for the TEN-T, Mr Carlo Secchi (Atlantic Corridor) and Ms Iveta Radičová (Mediterranean Corridor). The European Coordinators for the Atlantic Corridor and for the Mediterranean Corridor informed TRAN Members about the latest developments in these corridors of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T). The debate took place on Wednesday afternoon 24 May 2023 in room ANTALL 4Q1 from where it was webstreamed.

“Future challenges for the rail infrastructure: Single European Track Access charges and investments needed towards decarbonisation”

The TRAN Committee will hold an interparliamentary committee meeting on Reaching the transport objectives of Fit for 55 at national level - opportunities and challenges. The purpose of the meeting is to exchange views with Members from National Parliaments on the realities and experiences of Member States in working towards achieving the transport objectives of the Fit for 55 package.

The TRAN Committee will hold a debate with Mr Juan Carlos Salazar, Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) who will address TRAN Committee Members with the recent outlook for international civil aviation, including on safety, security / facilitation and air navigation, as well as on CORSIA and sustainable aviation fuels.
