The role of tax policies in the context of the economic recovery
Public hearing held by remote participation
On 16 November 2020, FISC Members had an exchange of views with Mrs Grace Perez Navarro, Deputy Director at the OECD Centre for Tax Policy and Administration, Mr Joaquim Miranda Sarmento, Professor at the University of Lisbon and Mrs Liina Carr, ETUC Confederal Secretary.
They will discuss on how an EU coordinated tax policy will help smoothing the economic recovery, notably by assisting Member States in better fighting tax avoidance and evasion. They will also examine how well calibrated tax policy orientations can create the right conditions for economic growth and investments in the Union.
