Exchange on future of EU trade policy

On 14 June, the Director-General of DG Trade, Sabine Weyand, participated in an exchange of views on the ENVI-related aspects of the Commission Communication titled “Trade Policy Review - an Open, Sustainable and Assertive Trade Policy”.
From making the respect of the Paris Agreement an essential element of trade agreements to climate and environmental provisions in TSD Chapters, from measures to limit deforestation and biodiversity loss to the CBAM, the review contains a number of proposals which are of direct relevance to ENVI's work.
