JURI votes and exchange of views with Mrs Kopacz, EP Coordinator on Children's Rights

On 22 February 2021, the JURI Committee voted on draft opinions on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to carcinogens or mutagens at work, on strengthening transparency and integrity in the EU institutions by setting up an independent EU ethics body, as well as on shaping the digital future of Europe.

They also held an exchange of views on a draft report on the European Union regulatory fitness and subsidiarity and proportionality, an exchange of views on amendments on the Aarhus Convention on Access to Information. The meeting continued with an exchange of views with Mrs Ewa Kopacz, EP Coordinator on Children's Rights. She presented a summary of her and the Office's main activities in the past year and will update Members on her agenda and plans for the current year. The Coordinator focused on the cooperation with the committee in areas of common interest, like child - friendly justice, child rights impact assessment and cross-border mediation and presented her observations on the cross-border family cases that were submitted to her Office last year.
