Three European Parliament committees, IMCO, JURI and PETI, will hold a public hearing on the European Citizens’ Initiative “Stop Destroying Videogames.” The hearing follows the initiative’s submission on 26 January 2026 and gives its organisers the chance to present their proposal. Members of Parliament will also question the European Commission about actions it may take in response.

On 15 April, the CULT Committee will host a public hearing on "Education as a driver for empowering youth, fostering inclusiveness and engagement in Europe", exploring the role of education in contributing to a more inclusive Europe where young people can thrive and are empowered.

On Tuesday 14 April, the Subcommittee on Human Rights will hold a public hearing on 'Caste discrimination in South Asia'. The panel, comprised of representatives of the European External Action Service, the United Nations, as well as civil society actors and individuals with lived experience, will provide a holistic overview of caste discrimination and its implications for human rights in South Asia.

On Wednesday 8 April 2026, ECON Members will discuss with experts from the insurance and pensions sectors as well as from EIOPA and Better Finance best practices on the role of pension funds and insurance undertakings in mobilising long-term capital.

On Tuesday, 24 March 2026, the FEMM Committee jointly with the Committee on Public Health will hold a hearing on “Menopause care in the EU“.

The Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) held a public hearing on “New market entrants in the banking landscape (‘neobanks’) and their impact on the Banking Union” on Thursday, 19 March 2026, from 9:30 to 11:00.

The Committee on Constitutional Affairs jointly with the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and the Special Committee on the European Democracy Shield will hold a hearing on “Democracy and elections in the AI era” on 18 March.

The public hearing on sovereignty of EU transport infrastructure, assets, and technologies took place on Wednesday, 18 March during the TRAN Committee meeting.

The Subcommittee on Human Rights held a public hearing entitled "Third-country nationals forced to fight in Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine". The hearing was organised in association with the Delegations to the EU-Russia and to the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committees.

Five days ahead of World Water Day, and in view of the 2026 UN Water Conference, the Public Hearing aims to develop recommendations on how to place water at the centre of the EU's international partnerships with countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Invited experts from the UN, civil society, private sector and academia will present evidence about current challenges to and possible solutions for making progress on the SDG 6 concerning universal access to water and sanitation.

On 16 March, the EMPL Committee held an exchange of views with the Executive Directors of the EU Agencies under its remit: the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop), the European Labour Authority (ELA), the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA), the European Training Foundation (ETF) and the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound).

The LIBE Committee hosted a Public Hearing on the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI) calling for a "Ban on conversion practices in the European Union". The hearing took place with the involvement of the Committee on Petitions (PETI) and the participation of the Committee on Gender Equality and Women’s Rights (FEMM).
