Výbor môže zorganizovať vypočutie znalcov, ak to považuje za nevyhnutné pre priebeh svojej činnosti v konkrétnej veci. Vypočutia tiež môžu spoločne organizovať dva výbory alebo viacero výborov. Väčšina výborov organizuje pravidelné vypočutia, pretože im umožňujú vypočuť si názory znalcov a viesť diskusie o kľúčových otázkach.
