On the 17th of June the opening trilogue on the Pharma package took place in Strasbourg. During this first trilogue the EP negotiation team has exchanged the views with the Council on key political points and the negotiation positions. Parliament is looking forward for the next meetings and the fruitful cooperation with the Council.

On the 26th of June, Monika Raulinajtys-Grzybek, Ph.D., Professor at SGH (Warsaw School of Economics) will present the report by SGH and the Polish Ministry of National Defence 'Medicines Supply Security for Poland's and Europe's Military Security'.

On the 26th of June, Sandra Gallina, Director-General of DG SANTE, European Commission, will present the proposal on the Critical Medicines Act by the Commission. This proposal contributes to the European health union's goal of ensuring that all EU patients have access to the medicines they need, wherever they are and whenever they need them. It was a commitment that this proposal would be delivered within the first 100 days of the new Commission.

On the 25th of June, Dr Andriy Klepikov, the Executive Director of the International Charitable Foundation “Alliance for Public Health”, a Ukraine based organisation, developing work on the epidemics of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis and other socially dangerous diseases in Ukraine, will present the report on The EU’s role in ending HIV/AIDS in Ukraine and its key policy recommendations.

From 26 to 28 May, SANT held a delegation to the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, on the occasion of the 78th World Health Assembly (WHA). The delegation was composed of four Members: Stine BOSSE (Renew), Ondrej DOSTÁL (NI), Aurelijus VERYGA (ECR), Leire PAJÍN IRAOLA (S&D).

On the 3rd of June, SANT Members held an exchange of views with the representatives of European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients' Associations and European Respiratory Society.

On the 3rd of June, SANT Members voted in favour on the decision to enter into interinstitutional negotiations of 2 Pharma package files. With this vote, EP delegation on the Pharma package will be ready to start negotiations with Council as soon as they are ready.

On the 2nd of June, SANT Members held an exchange of views on Ukraine mental health initiative ‘How are you?’ with Oksana Zbitneva, Head of Mental Health Coordination Center of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

On the 2nd of June, SANT Committee Members heard the presentation by the Commission of the Preparedness Union Strategy: reinforcing Europe’s resilience in a changing world.
