Odbor lahko organizira predstavitve s strokovnjaki, če so potrebne za delo odbora v zvezi z določeno temo. Predstavitve lahko skupaj pripravita dva ali več odborov. Večina odborov organizira redne predstavitve, saj na njih lahko prisluhnejo strokovnjakom in z njimi razpravljajo o pomembnih vprašanjih. The COVID-19 pandemic was not only a major health crisis but also one that impacted society, the economy, democracy & fundamental rights, and international governance. In November, COVI Committee will embark on a series of discussions to assess the socio-economic consequences of the pandemic. The first of these will take place on 14 November 2022.
On 26-27 October 2022, COVI Special Committee welcomed ministers of the global south countries as well as representatives of international organisations (WHO, WTO, PAHO, CEPI) to exchange views on the international dimension of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On 13 October 2022, COVI Special Committee welcomed representatives from GAVI (the vaccine alliance), the Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) and European Court of Auditors (ECA).
The Special Committee on the COVID-19 pandemic welcomed the representatives from five pharmaceutical companies on 10 October 2022 from 14.30 to 18.30.
On the 5 September 2022 the Members of COVI Committee held an exchange of wievs with the representatives of the pharmaceutical companies.
On 30 August 2022, the COVI Committee held an exchange of views with Sandra Gallina, Director-General for Health and Food Safety, and EU Health Ministers. The aim of the exchange of views with Director-General Gallina was discuss issues related to the main challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, how Advanced Purchase Agreements were drawn up, the lessons learned and how the EU and Member States will handle them in the future.
On 13 July 2022, the COVI Special Committee welcomed the Director of the ECDC, the Director-General of HERA, and the Chief Epidemiologists from five EU Members States to an exchange of views.
