AIDA public hearing on AI and the data strategy

On Thursday 30 September, 9.00-12.00, the AIDA Special Committee will hold a public hearing on the "Data strategy". The EP rapporteur for the INI report on the 'European strategy for data' and AIDA Vice-Chair - Miapetra Kumpula-Natri will be opening the event together with the AIDA Chair - Dragoş Tudorache, and he will be making the concluding remarks.
The first part of the meeting is dedicated to exchange of views with the European Commission on the "EU data Strategy" as well the "EU digital strategy for the next decade" (the Digital Compass). In the second part of the meeting, several experts are invited to contribute to the debate with the perspectives of the industry, civil society, academia, and Member States. The hearing takes place about two months before the release of the "Data act", tentatively announced by the Commission for 1 December 2021.
