Meeting of 1 October 2020 (remote)

The latest meeting of the European Parliament delegation to the EU-Turkey JPC (D-TR) was held on Thursday, 1 October 2020, from 13.30 to 15.00 and focused on the escalating tensions in the Eastern Mediterranean and the role of Turkey.

MEPs exchanged views with Ms Asli AYDINTAŞBAŞ, Senior Policy Fellow (European Council on Foreign Relations), Mr Gerald KNAUS, Chair of the European Stability Initiative (ESI) and representatives of other European institutions.

Remote informal meetings during the first semester of 2020

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, most official meetings and missions of Parliament's delegations during the first semester of 2020 had to be cancelled or postponed.
Members of the delegation met informally, on Webex, on 27 May and 3 July 2020 to exchange views on the latest developments in EU-Turkey relations.

Meeting of 20 January 2020, Brussels

The first part of the meeting was dedicated to an exchange of views on "EU's financial support and financing instruments in Turkey" with Mr Bernard BRUNET, Head of Unit -Turkey, DG NEAR.

The second part of the meeting was held in camera.
