Meeting of 21 September 2020, remote via Webex
A formal remote meeting was scheduled on Monday 21 September, from 13.30 to 15.00 via Webex.
The meeting included exchange of views on the parliamentary and local elections in Montenegro of 30 August and subsequent developments in the presence of:
- H.E. Ambassador Mr Bojan ŠARKIĆ, Head of Mission of Montenegro to the EU
- Mr Thomas HAGLEITNER, Head of Unit for Montenegro in the DG Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of European Commission
- Ms Elsa FENET, Head of Division 'Western Balkans' in the European External Action Service
Preparatory meeting 18th EU-Montenegro SAPC, 25-26 February 2020, Podgorica
The meeting included an exchange of views on the political and economic situation in Montenegro and on its relations with the EU with:
- H.E. Ambassador Mr Bojan ŠARKIĆ, Head of Mission of Montenegro to the EU;
- Mr Thomas HAGLEITNER, Head of Unit for Montenegro in the DG Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of European Commission;
- Mr Clive RUMBOLD, Deputy Head of Division 'Western Balkans' in the European External Action Service.
The delegation also considered the draft agenda and draft programme for the 18th EU-Montenegro Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee meeting due to be held in Podgorica on 25-26 February 2020 and the appointment of first speakers.
