Meeting of 26 February 2021, remote
Democracy Support and Election Coordination Group, in association with the Delegation for relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo organised a post-electoral exchange of views on the General Elections in Kosovo of 14 February 2021.
The meeting took place with the participation of:
- Mr Ismet KRYEZIU, Chief of mission of Democracy in Action, a coalition of local civil society organisations that observed the elections;
- Ambassador Tomáš SZUNYOG, Head of the EU Office in Kosovo / EUSR;
- Mr Romeo FRANZ (Greens/EFA, DE), Chair of the Delegation for relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo;
- Ms Viola von CRAMON-TAUBADEL (Greens/EFA, DE), standing rapporteur for Kosovo and DEG Member;
- Ms Donika EMINI, Executive Director of Platforma CiviKos, which gathers 250 CSOs in Kosovo.
Meeting of 6 July 2020, remote
The meeting included an exchange of views on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide with Mr Emir SULJAGIĆ, Director of the Srebrenica Memorial, and Ms Nataša KANDIĆ, Founder of the Humanitarian Law Center in Belgrade and Coordinator of the RECOM Project.
RECOM - Regional Commission Tasked with Establishing the Facts about All Victims of War Crimes and Other Serious Human Rights Violations Committed on the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia from 1 January 1991 to 31 December 2001.
Meeting of 5 December 2019, Brussels
The meeting included an exchange of views on the general elections in Kosovo on 6 October 2019 and the political and economic situation in Kosovo and on its relations with the EU:
- Mr Andrey KOVATCHEV, Member of the European Parliament, Head of the EP Delegation to the legislative elections in Kosovo,
- H.E. Mr Bernard NIKAJ, Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the Kingdom of Belgium,
- Ms Mary-Teresa Moran, Deputy Head of Unit, North Macedonia and Kosovo, DG Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, EC, and
- Ms Elsa FENET, Head of Division 'Western Balkans' in the EEAS.
And an exchange of views on the political and economic situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and on its relations with the EU:
- H.E. Ms Emina MERDAN, Ambassador‑Head of the Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the EU,
- Ms Michela MATUELLA, Head of Unit for Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the EC, and
- Ms Elsa FENET, Head of Division 'Western Balkans' in the EEAS.
