–   having regard to the text of agreement between the European Union and Iceland and Norway on the application of certain provisions of Council Decision 2008/615/JHA on the stepping up of cross-border cooperation, particularly in combating terrorism and cross-border crime and Council Decision 2008/616/JHA on the implementation of Decision 2008/615/JHA on the stepping up of cross-border cooperation, particularly in combating terrorism and cross-border crime, and the Annex thereto (05060/2009),

–   having regard to the draft Council decision (05309/2010),

–   having regard to the request for consent submitted by the Council pursuant to Article 218(6)(a) in conjunction with Article 82(1)(d) and Article 87(2)(a) of the Treaty on the functioning of the European Union (C7‑0031/2010),

–   having regard to Rules 81 and 90(8) of its Rules of Procedure,

–   having regard to the recommendation of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (A7-0173/2010),

1.  Consents to conclusion of the agreement;

2.  Instructs its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission, the parliaments and governments of the Member States and the parliaments and governments of Iceland and Norway.
