Draft European Parliament decision to raise no objections to the draft Commission regulation amending Regulation (EU) No 142/2011 as regards the transit of certain animal by-products from Bosnia and Herzegovina

The European Parliament,

–   having regard to the draft Commission regulation amending Regulation (EU) No 142/2011 as regards the transit of certain animal by-products from Bosnia and Herzegovina (D025828/03),

–   having regard to Regulation (EC) No 1069/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 October 2009 laying down health rules as regards animal by-products and derived products not intended for human consumption and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1774/2002[1],

–   having regard to the opinion delivered on 5 March 2013 by the committee referred to in Article 52 of the above Regulation,

–   having regard to the Commission’s letter of 16 May 2013 asking Parliament to declare that it will raise no objections to the draft Regulation,

–   having regard to the letter of 20 May 2013 from the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety to the Chair of the Conference of Committee Chairs,

–   having regard to Article 5a of Council Decision 1999/468/EC of 28 June 1999 laying down the procedures for the exercise of implementing powers conferred on the Commission[2],

–   having regard to Rules 88(4)(d) and 87a(6) of its Rules of Procedure,

1.  Declares that it has no objections to the draft Commission regulation;

2.  Instructs its President to forward this resolution to the Commission and, for information, to the Council.
