Motion for a European Parliament resolution on the Russian embargo and the risks relating to the operability of the anti-crisis fund
B8‑0256/2014

The European Parliament,

–       having regard to Rule 133 of its Rules of Procedure,

A.     whereas the operability of the reserve fund, the instrument established by the Commission to deal with the impact of the Russian-ordered embargo, is at risk;

B.     whereas the draft budget for 2015 shows that of the 433 million that made up the initial allocation, obtained through a 1.3% reduction in direct payments, at present only 88 million are apparently left;

1.      Calls on the Commission to put in place measures to ensure that the reserve fund remains operational, to support operators in the sectors most affected by the crisis caused by the embargo, without affecting the operation of other funds or other measures designed to ensure the smooth operation of EU agriculture.
