  President. – The next vote is on the situation in Venezuela (See minutes, item 7.6).

  Sebastião Bugalho (PPE). – Madam President, I would like to present an oral amend to this resolution, and this will need to be presented first. This amendment reads 'Recognises Edmundo González Urrutia as the winner of the election and the next constitutional President of Venezuela as of 10 January 2025 and also recognises María Corina Machado as the leader of the democratic forces in Venezuela, since she was elected at the primaries of the Unitary Platform in 2023 with 92.35 % of the vote;'. This is one amendment.

  Sebastião Bugalho (PPE). – Thank you, Madam President. I would like to present another oral amendment, that reads 'Urges the European Union and its Member States to recognise Edmundo González Urrutia as the winner of the election and as the next constitutional and legitimate President of Venezuela as of 10 January 2025;'.
