  Hannes Swoboda (PSE). – Herr Präsident! Es liegt auch schriftlich vor, und in Übereinstimmung mit dem Antragsteller würde ich zur Klarstellung nur die beiden Worte in order (in order to lay down the conditions for a representative democracy) einfügen.

- Après le vote sur l'amendement 4 et concernant l'introduction d'un nouveau paragraphe 28bis:

  José Ignacio Salafranca Sánchez-Neyra (PPE-DE). – En efecto, señor Presidente, el ponente de este informe, el señor Brok, que no ha podido estar hoy con nosotros en la votación, me ha pedido que se añada un apartado 28, nuevo. Entiendo que está consensuado con el resto de los grupos políticos. En todo caso, señor Presidente, lo voy a leer en su versión en inglés:

‘Acknowledges that the United Nations has asked the European Union to contribute to the security of the upcoming elections in the Democratic Republic of Congo by means of a military mission; asks the Council to carefully examine the existing possibilities;’

- Sur le paragraphe 38:

  José Ignacio Salafranca Sánchez-Neyra (PPE-DE). – Señor Presidente, las informaciones que me habían sido transmitidas en relación con la enmienda anterior me habían llegado, efectivamente, del señor Brok. En este caso concreto, se trata de una simple puesta al día de las informaciones que figuran en el apartado 38, donde habría que suprimir:

‘and to prepare for the general elections due to take place on 15 December 2005’ and replace it with ‘in the wake of the general elections held on 15 December 2005’.

Es, simplemente, una puesta al día, porque el informe estaba obsoleto.
