- Before the vote on amendment 23:

  Margrietus van den Berg (PSE). – Voorzitter, in de laatste zin van amendement 23 staat nu "calls on the EU to set up the compensation mechanisms required to avert consequences of this sort". Hier zijn bezwaren tegen gerezen, omdat het zo lijkt alsof wij, de EU, alle financiële gevolgen moeten dragen. Om dat te vermijden stel ik als mondeling amendement voor "calls on the EU to help to set up the compensation mechanisms required to avert consequences of this sort".
