  Vittorio Agnoletto (GUE/NGL). – Signor Presidente, propongo di aggiungere al termine del paragrafo 9 il testo seguente: "deplora che il governo italiano non abbia ancora versato al Fondo globale per la lotta contro l'AIDS, la TBC e la malaria i 260 milioni dei quali è debitore per le quote 2006-2007 e invita il governo italiano a saldare in tempi brevi tale debito".

  Maria Martens (PPE-DE). – Voorzitter, ik lees de tekst in het Engels:

‘Calls on the EU to increase funding to ensure that progress in basic science and biomedicine results in new and affordable drugs, vaccine and diagnostics for neglected diseases, to support the development phases of R&D, and to secure the use of new products by neglected populations whilst respecting the TRIPS provisions;’

en wordt dus vervangen door:

‘whilst respecting international patent rights, without which pharmaceutical R&D would collapse;’
