17.3. Situation of ethnic minorities in Iran (B7-0309/2012) (vote)

– Before the vote on paragraph 7:

  Bernd Posselt (PPE). – (DE) Paragraph 7 refers to discrimination and oppressive measures against non-Shiite Muslims before we then come to the Baha’i. We wish to extend this expressly to include the Christians, Assyrians and other religious minorities. That is why we are proposing the following wording:

persecution and harassment of religious minorities such as non-Shia Muslims, Assyrians and other Christian groups,

and then come the Baha’i. Our oral amendment involves express inclusion of the Assyrians, Christians and other religious minorities.
