- Before the vote on the legislative resolution:

Jörg Leichtfried (S&D). – (DE) Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, we are facing the same situation here as with Colombia and Peru, and I would therefore also move that the vote should not be held and the matter referred back to committee pending the conclusion of the negotiations with the Council and the Commission.

(Parliament adopted the motion to defer the vote on the legislative resolution)
