Role of EU cohesion policy in implementing the new European energy policy (A7-0437/2012 - Lena Kolarska-Bobińska)
Ramon Tremosa i Balcells (ALDE), in writing. − The European Union has been playing a leading role in the world on green energies and we have to ensure that it will continue doing it. Boosting the public and private investment on green energies has to go hand in hand with scientific knowledge and economic criteria, thus making our investments economical and social truly in line with the 2020 Strategy. Without reasonably cheap energy our companies will not be competitive enough in the globalised world and thus will be facing unfair competition from third countries.
