– Vor der Abstimmung über Ziffer 62:

  Laima Liucija Andrikienė (PPE). - Mr President, we have a request to have a split vote on paragraph 62. I would like to propose an oral amendment to that paragraph in two parts. The first part would be to add the words ‘be communicated to the European Parliament’, and the second part to add the words ‘where possible’. Paragraph 62, if amended, would therefore read as follows: ‘Expects the development of EU human rights country strategies to be duly coordinated with EU action in the UN forums; reiterates its recommendation that EU country strategies on human rights be communicated to the European Parliament and be made public where possible in order to give visibility to the EU’s commitment to human rights in third countries and for those struggling for human rights to find support in these documents’.

A split vote is not necessary if the text is adopted with that wording.
