7.5. Euroopa Pangandusjärelevalve ja krediidiasutuste usaldatavusnõuete täitmise järelevalve (A7-0393/2012 - Sven Giegold) (hääletus)

  Sven Giegold (Verts/ALE). - Madam President, we have just voted on the contents of the changes needed to the European Banking Authority (EBA) in order to make it possible to give the European Central Bank the powers for the common banking union for which we have argued for a long time.

Unfortunately some of the Member States are not yet ready with their ratifications, and my report on the EBA changes is the lever to remain in control over Marianne Thyssen’s report on giving the European Central Bank powers on the common banking supervisor. Therefore we have to shift the final legislative vote on my report in order to remain in control of the democratic process of this next large step of realising a common fiscal and banking union. Therefore I ask for the postponement of the legislative part of the vote.
