Afzal Khan (S&D), in writing. — I do not believe the Work Programme is adequate in the areas of job creation and social protection and I think we need a strong line on tax havens and environmental policy. I therefore voted for the S&D resolution, which disagrees with the Commission’s intention to withdraw a number of legislative proposals, notably the Air Quality Package and the Maternity Leave Directive, calls to address the growing issue of precarious employment including zero hour contracts, asks for a full revision of the Posting of Workers Directive and for a radical and effective change in EU taxation policy, urging the Commission to make an unequivocal commitment to the fight against tax fraud.
