Derek Vaughan (S&D), in writing. ‒ With my S&D colleagues, I voted in favour of this resolution because it maintains its tough stance on Russia, and calls on Moscow to respect human rights and international values and step back from isolation and re-engage with the rest of the world. Russia is an important neighbour of the EU but, as the conflict continues, we back the continuing use of sanctions, though we are also clear that there must be engagement with our important neighbour.
