5.4. A situação militar estratégica na Bacia do Mar Negro, na sequência da anexação ilegal da Crimeia pela Rússia (A8-0171/2015 - Ioan Mircea Paşcu) (votação)

– Before the vote on paragraph 7:

  Ioan Mircea Paşcu, rapporteur. – Madam President, this oral amendment is intended to bring the situation up to date. There was a reference to the deal between France and Russia over the Mistral assault ships, and now we have negotiations for the termination of that deal. Therefore, as you know, we have to adapt the report to reflect that situation.

So – instead of ‘urges France to abandon, unequivocally and finally, the sale of amphibious assault ships to Russia’, which is to be deleted, we propose the inclusion of: ‘welcomes France’s decision to reconsider the delivery of the Mistral amphibious assault ships to Russia and salutes France’s negotiations to unequivocally and finally cancel this deal’.

– Before the vote on paragraph 17:

  Ioan Mircea Paşcu, rapporteur. – Madam President, actually, because there was a mention of the same situation with the Mistral in 2 paragraphs, we have to adjust this one too. We would add to the end of the paragraph ‘and looks forward to the successful conclusion of the negotiations to cancel this contract’.
