  Ivo Belet, rapporteur. – Mr President, I know it is late, but I think this file is important enough to introduce its importance in one minute.

I think this proposed decision proves that it is possible on the one hand to reconcile the reduction of emissions and on the other to secure the future of a flourishing energy-intensive industry in Europe. It is a vital decision with regard to the Paris Conference in December. May I ask for your support and may I also thank the shadow rapporteurs and Commissioners Arias Cañete and Šefčovič for their very good cooperation on this long journey.
