12.9. Harmonisation of certain aspects of copyright and related rights (A8-0209/2015 - Julia Reda) (vote)

– Vor der Abstimmung über Ziffer 7:

  Mary Honeyball (S&D). – Mr President, I would like to add at the end of this paragraph: ‘Believes that, where artists’ and performers’ exclusive making-available rights are transferred, there should be an unwaivable right to remuneration subject to collective management.’ Essentially this is so that artists and performers can actually receive remuneration when their content, which would usually be music, is streamed over the internet.

  Petri Sarvamaa (PPE). – Mr President, I think the Chair is doing a brilliant job this afternoon, trying to make this happen as fast as possible. So presuming that they do not want to spend the whole of Thursday afternoon in this Chamber, I would just ask everyone to raise their hands when the President asks for a vote.
