Pavel Telička (ALDE), in writing. ‒ Research and innovation, creation of growth and jobs are one of the most important agendas the EU is dealing with at the moment. But we have to ensure that creation of jobs and growth will be tackled in reasonable way with contribution of public but more importantly private sector. This key principle however was not observed in the report. Too little space was given to the private finance and market mechanism while the priority was clearly given to the public sector. Given by these facts, I followed the line of the ALDE Group and abstained for the final vote on the Ferreira report on Blue Economy.
