External factors that represent hurdles to European female entrepreneurship (A8-0369/2015 - Barbara Matera)

Therese Comodini Cachia (PPE), in writing. ‒ Data clearly indicates that women’s employment rate remains in large disparity with that of men, that the economic crisis has continued to affect their employment prospects and that we are still off the Europe 2020 target. Entrepreneurship is however one medium through which women can use their skills and talents as well as obtain the opportunity to be able to fulfil their aspirations as equal partners in society. Female unemployment continues to have serious consequences on the living conditions of families. The report identifies measures to facilitate female entrepreneurship. I have thus voted in favour.
