  Afzal Khan (S&D), in writing. ‒ I voted in favour of the report, as it is aimed at boosting economic growth, creating sustainable jobs and empowering women. At the moment, women make up only a third of entrepreneurs. That is a huge amount of untapped talent. In particular, we need to invest in women’s and girls’ potential to contribute to the digital economy. Some estimates suggest boosting female entrepreneurship could deliver as much as GBP 60 billion to the UK economy by 2030.
