  Jan Philipp Albrecht (Verts/ALE). – Madam President, just two sentences. This adoption of the European Data Protection Regulation is a huge step forward for the European Union and for fundamental rights in the European Union. It shows that we can deliver a legal framework for the digital age and that we can still deliver democratic decisions in the European Union, which is of huge value for citizens and consumers.
