Pavel Svoboda (PPE). – Mr President, I propose that we amend paragraph 6 of the resolution, so that at the end of the paragraph we add the words: ‘and especially concerning’ and then we add the four names you have in the voting lists.

I have three reasons for this amendment. Firstly, among the four there is a European citizen, a Czech national, Petr Jašek. We simply should stand behind our people and, at the same time, not forget the other three. Secondly, we are voting on urgent cases, urgent individual cases and not country-by-country reports. Concrete names make a difference.

Lastly, these four people are threatened by a death sentence; to be or not to be mentioned in this resolution can make the difference between life and death. I therefore beg you, colleagues, to kindly accept this amendment.
