Rupert Matthews (ECR). – Mr President, it has been a very interesting debate. I have listened to what everyone has to say. The reason I was pleased to vote for this measure is largely because it gives a clearer definition of some of the concepts we are dealing with, with waste processing and recycling. I’m hoping that that is going to lead to more recycling – I’m hoping that within a few years as much as 55% of our waste will in fact be recycled. It’s going to help improve the circular economy, and that is going to lead to less landfill and better all round. We need better definitions – it helps everyone involved in this to do their job more properly.
