9.19. Europäische Bürgerinitiative (A8-0226/2018 - György Schöpflin) (Abstimmung)

– Before the vote:

  Barbara Spinelli, on behalf of the GUE/NGL Group. – Madam President, I wish to present, on behalf of my Group, a request to proceed to the votes on the amendments, in accordance with Rule 59 of the Rules of Procedure, and to request that the vote be taken by roll call.

I believe that the current text has some flaws, as denounced by several non—governmental organisations, and my Group has tabled amendments aimed at improving it. The amendments touch upon important issues: in particular, preserving the individual online collection systems; requesting the Commission to carry out real legislative follow—up in full observance of Article 11 of the Treaty; and allowing citizens’ initiatives to propose the modification of ongoing legislative proposals.
