One-minute speeches on matters of political importance

Nico Semsrott (Verts/ALE). – Mr President, the EU is in deep crisis and so am I. I have binge—watched this show for the past few months and I’m not amused. It’s not getting enough clicks, the engagement rate is pathetic and, in general, there is a lack of good content. I want to give you all here direct feedback.

First, the storylines don’t make any sense: in one episode we are saying the EU stands for peace and in the next we are rushing to build up our military. Second, the characters are hard to follow: I don’t know any of you. Third, the message keeps getting lost.

We should take a lesson from the Eurovision Song Contest. People pay attention to naked people dancing. If ratings don’t improve, the whole thing will soon be cancelled. We need to offer our audience something worth watching. From the broken heart of Europe, I am Nico Semsrott and this is the Nico Semsrott Show with Nico Semsrott.
