The listing of German NGOs as 'undesirable organisations' by Russia and the detention of Andrei Pivovarov

  Anna Fotyga, author. – Madam President, Andrei Pivovarov was detained under fabricated accusations on board a Polish civilian airplane already taxiing on the tarmac of Saint Petersburg. Except for German NGOs, Putin blacklisted institutions as important as IRI, NDI, NED, our European EED, and also important media outlets like Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty. The best way to react would be to immediately stop construction of Nord Stream 2 and show due diligence and engagement both politically and in trade domain with the Russian Federation in accordance with UN guidelines on business and human rights.
